Life can be overwhelming and difficult at times and it can sometimes seem as though there is little hope in sight. When we feel unable to cope, talking about things is the first step towards moving forward and feeling better.

I offer a professional and confidential therapy service for adult clients, allowing you to explore your thoughts and feelings safely in an impartial environment, where you will be respectfully listened to, feel supported and not be judged in any way.

My role is not giving advice or problem-solving, but to accompany you on your journey. I'm there to help you to understand what is making you feel a certain way, to find your own solutions and to support you as you move forward.

This can be face-to-face at my premises in Preston or if you prefer to stay in the comfort of your own surroundings, online via Zoom or by telephone.

Counselling and Psychotherapy

There are many reasons why clients may seek help via counselling and psychotherapy (also known as talking therapies), including:

  • Anger Management
  • Anxiety
  • Assertiveness / Self-confidence / Self-esteem
  • Bereavement / Loss
  • Depression
  • PTSD
  • Alcohol Addiction

Counselling focuses on the life challenges that most people encounter in life at some point, such as relationship issues, work stress or bereavement. This is often a short term therapy, with the client being supported in finding their own way forward.

Psychotherapy often involves more in-depth work. It involves looking at the deep-seated issues which affect a person's relationship with themselves and others. It is often needed to help a person deal with the effects of trauma.
