Please take a look below at the journey other clients have been through.
Before engaging with Pam I was holding onto a lot of the traumatic experiences and the feelings around them, which could have been very damaging to my recovery.
She helped me reach a place of acceptance regarding these traumas, giving me the strength to break the shackles and allowing me to let go of the past.
If I had to describe Pam's counselling I would say that she made me feel I safe, was non-judgemental and helped me was to achieve personal growth that I didn't think I'd ever achieve.
I actually like myself a whole lot better now.
Counselling with Pam helped me to discuss things and overcome issues that happened in my past that I couldn't previously talk about with other people.
I have been able to discuss previous traumas that led to me developing addictions and now I'm in recovery I can discuss moving forward, which really helps.
Pam helped me uncover some long buried truths about how I feel in regards to my upbringing and my family.
Through counselling I have been able to answer my own questions: it is a freeing feeling to let go of the past and move on to a better future.
During therapy with Pam, I realised that in addiction the person I've lied to most often is myself.
I've often not known what was wrong with me, just that something was.
By uncovering feelings and dealing with memories that I've kept locked away and dealt with by using substances, I can now identify what was wrong and I won't relapse.
Over the years, I have tried counselling numerous times before, but could never find the peace I was looking for.
I was sceptical at first about how EMDR might help, but within one session of working with Pam I found that I was able to deal with previously unresolved childhood issues and heal my life.
I offer both counselling and psychotherapy and can do one-to-one work or work with couples.
I am trained in Person-Centred Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and have been working in the field of mental health since 1984.
I have professional indemnity insurance and am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP Registered Member: 402271), EMDR UK and registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council UK (89i2564e).
